Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka (MBSL) is seeking a sharp, customer-oriented Gold Loan Officer to join our Colombo operations. We need a professional who balances technical appraisal skills with exceptional service to drive our pawning sector forward.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Accurately assess gold quality and determine market valuation using industry-standard testing methods.

  • Manage the end-to-end loan disbursement process while ensuring strict adherence to internal audit protocols.

  • Cultivate lasting client relationships through transparent communication and efficient problem-solving.

  • Maintain meticulous records of physical inventory and digital transaction logs.

  • Identify opportunities to expand the local portfolio through proactive community engagement.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in gold appraisal or jewelry valuation within the banking or finance industry.

  • Strong numerical literacy and a keen eye for detail.

  • Fluency in local languages to effectively serve a diverse Colombo clientele.
