Job Profile

Application Development: Building and maintaining applications on IBM Power System (AS/400) using RPG and related tools.
System Analysis & Design: Translating business requirements into technical specifications and scalable solutions.
Production Support: Handling live deployments, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and providing after-hours support.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams and business units to manage expectations and deliver solutions.
Quality Assurance: Conducting testing, ensuring standards compliance, and maintaining documentation.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for automation, modernization, and performance optimization.
Knowledge Development: Mentoring junior staff and supporting training to build internal RPG expertise.

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems from a reputed university.
Experience: At least three years of experience in RPG programming (including RPGLE, CLLE, RPG FREE, and SQLRPG) on AS/400 systems.
Technical Knowledge: Conversant in OS/400 (IBM i) and experienced with Integrated File System, DB2/400, and handling data queues.
Preferred Skills: Experience in web service development on the AS/400 platform and knowledge of the Banking and Financial domain.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, a team player attitude, and the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Methodology: Ability to contribute to Agile practices and adhere to organizational agility
