Deutsche Bank’s Emerging Markets (EM) business leads with scale and strength in providing asset and liability solutions to institutional and corporate clients globally.
The EM business provides clients with access to the Bank’s liquidity and product expertise through our global sales, trading, and structuring teams, as well as our electronic trading channels. Our product range includes fixed income securities and derivatives in credit products, interest rates and foreign exchange.
You will be working closely with traders and interacting with various other teams including, but not limited to, sales, structuring, research, and control functions.

Your key responsibilities
- Provide timely and incisive credit analysis across a diverse portfolio of EMEA Emerging Market sovereign and corporate issuers (including Central & Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa). Analysis may span macroeconomic assessment, political risk, debt sustainability, sector dynamics and issuer‑level fundamentals, depending on area of focus
- Continuously monitor key economic, political and financial developments impacting EMEA EM credit markets, identifying emerging risks and opportunities and proactively communicating their implications to the trading team
- Utilise quantitative tools and models to assess credit risk, probability of default and pricing anomalies across sovereign and corporate credits
- Engage with external stakeholders including rating agencies, central banks, finance ministries, corporates and institutional investors to gather market intelligence and build relationships
- Assist in identifying, monitoring and quantifying credit risks within the trading book, working closely with risk management functions to ensure adherence to limits and policies
- Work closely with other analysts, strategists and sales teams across the GEM platform, sharing insights and leveraging expertise across sovereign and corporate disciplines, candidates may come from a sovereign or corporate EM credit background, with scope to work across both over time
Your skills and experience
- A deep understanding of capital and regulatory matters in EM trading
- Ability to understand and interpret market trends and identify, communicate, and market trade ideas
- Ability to work in a high paced environment under pressure
- An excellent communicator (verbal and written) with strong interpersonal skills
